  • From October 6th to the 24th, the City will proceed will a cleaning operation of its waterworks system. As such, the City advises not to use tap water for laundry and washing dishes during the day from 7:30 am to 5 pm until October 25th. View the release.

  • Highlights of the main items of the City Council's meeting of October 6th:

    • The City Council has commissioned two engineering firms to study and assess the situation for the exit 78 overpass and Bromont boulevard.

    • Best wishes to Mrs Winona Matthews, a well known Bromont writer and historian. Mrs Matthews who will celebrate her 90th birthday is the author of the book "The Story of West Shefford 1792-1966 - An anecdotal History".

  • More than 700 Bromonters took part in the cultural activities presented last weekend to celebrate les Journées de la culture. Special thanks to everyone!



  • On October 31st, Le Service des Loisirs, de la culture et de la vie communautaire invites you to "La Légende du Théâtre hanté", an interactive play, at le Centre communautaire. Play is presented every half hour from 5 pm to 8 pm. Admission cost is $1.

  • On October 17th and 18th, the Bromont based jazz choir, Les Jazzeries, will perform at La Maison de la culture de Waterloo www.maisondelaculturedewaterloo.com

Community life

  • For the second year, La Chantignole elementary school will hold the "Marchons vers l'école" day on Wednesday October 8th.

  • Anyone who wants to get involved with the comity in charge of developing the Bromont Family policy may do so by either getting in touch with Mr. Réal Brunelle (real.brunelle@bromont.com), city councellor in charge of the cultural policy or with Mr. Ronald Caron, (ronald.caron@bromont.com) director of Le Service des loisirs, de la culture et de la vie communautaire.

  • L'Association Plage et Loisirs du Paradis de Brome wants to inform its members that all boats must be removed from docks on Saturday October 11th.

  • La troupe Chlorophylle will offer a workshop on how to make paper lanterns on November 9th. The cost of the activity is $25. For more info: 534-1220.

  • Children aged between 3 and 6 years are invited to " L'Heure du conte " on Saturday October 25th at 9:30 am at the Bromont Public library.

  • Spanish lessons : for those interested in learning or pursuing their knowledge of the spanish language, please get in touch with Mrs. Pauline Pelletier at 534-3004.
