• October 9th-15th is Fire Prevention Week with a focus on the "Change your smoke detector battery for your loved ones sake" theme. The Bromont Fire Department reminds residents of the utmost importance to regularly check the working condition of smoke detectors which do save lives in an emergency.

  • Public works will be conducting aqueduct maintenance from October 11th to November 11th to the municipal water facilities. It is advised to wait until sunset to do any laundry and check your tap water prior to consumption.

  • A reminder that temporary car shelters are allowed in Bromont starting October 15th until next April.

  • The Bromont Police Department restates that Halloween is celebrated October 31st and that the usual security rules are to be followed.
  • City Council has accepted the retrocession of lots 3563886, 3563888, 3563889, 3563891 et 3563893 from current owner of the "Bromont sur le lac" lease, enabling the municipality to regain 287 acres of land in that protected neighborhood.


Community life

  • The annual "Fête de reconnaissance des bénévoles" was celebrated last October 1st at the Auberge du Château where 35 community groups were praised by City Council for their contribution to the overall quality of life of Bromonters.

  • This Halloween again, a group of musicians, actors, dancers and jugglers will be touring Bromont parks to enliven the traditional event:

  • Take advantage of the free skating rink access at the Arena every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and Sundays from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Also, indoor golf lessons and a practice facility are available at the Arena, Monday to Friday, from 1 pm to 5 pm and weekends from 9 am to noon.
